Description
Town Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with a later 18th-century addition and 20th-century renovations. It is constructed of hammer-dressed sandstone, featuring a brick wing and a Roman tile roof. The building has a three-cell baffle-entry plan, with an additional service wing on the right side. It stands two storeys high and has five first-floor windows, along with a single-storey service wing. The entrance features a five-fielded-panel door with glazed upper panels, set within a 20th-century gabled porch. To the left of the porch are two 2-light Yorkshire sash windows, and to the right is a 3-light Yorkshire sash window. The side wing has a casement window. On the first floor, there are casement windows, except for one 2-light Yorkshire sash window on the right. The roof is steeply pitched, and there is a partially rebuilt external stack on the left and a ridge stack.
