Description
The Black Horse Inn is a public house that has been converted into three houses. It dates from the early to mid 18th century and the mid 19th century, with significant alterations made in the 20th century. The building is constructed of brick and has pantile roofs.
On the left side is the 18th-century section, which has a central entrance and is two storeys high with two first-floor windows. The modern door is flanked by two-light Yorkshire sash windows that break the stepped and dentilled eaves course. The left end has a raised gable and a swept roof with a stack.
The central section is also two storeys tall and has one first-floor window. There is a door to the left and a 20th-century canted bay window to the right. The first floor features a four-pane sash window beneath a flat brick arch and has a dentilled eaves course with end stacks.
The right section mirrors the central section in height and window count, with a door to the left and a 20th-century canted bay window to the right. The first floor has a modern fixed window and a dentilled eaves course, with a stack at the right end.
