Description
Taylor's Farmhouse is a pair of cottages that have been converted into one dwelling, dating from the late 18th century. The building is constructed of brick in English bond and features a pantile roof. The left cottage has a through-passage plan, while the right cottage has a hallway entry. It stands two storeys high and has four first-floor windows, with an outshut to the right.
On the left side, there is a 20th-century glazed door beneath a blocked radial fanlight, with a casement window to the left and a 16-pane sash window to the right. On the right side, there is a 20th-century glazed door with a 16-pane sash window to the right. The first-floor band is present only on the right cottage. The first floor features 16-pane sash windows, except for the casement window on the left. There is a slatted opening to the outshut, and the building has a dentilled eaves course, gable coping, and end and ridge stacks. The gable ends show tumbling-in. The farmhouse is included for its group value.
