Description
The Elms is a house built around 1840, with a 20th-century extension. It is constructed of brick in Flemish bond and has a Welsh slate roof. The house features a central entrance and is arranged with two rooms in depth. It stands two storeys high and has three bays. The front includes a six-panel door with an overlight that has an elliptical pane, all set within a Doric porch. There are 16-pane sash windows beneath keyed channelled stucco arches throughout the building, and a first-floor band adds to its design. The roof is hipped, and there are end stacks. The front garden is enclosed by wrought-iron gates and railings. The extension to the left is not considered of special interest.
