Description
Swinden Manor House is a house, likely built in the early to mid-18th century, although it contains older elements. It is constructed of snecked squared rubble and has a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and features two windows on each floor, with four lights on the left and three on the right. The windows have square recessed mullions below and are double chamfered above. The layout is typical of the 18th century, with a central stair, but the thick internal walls, stop-chamfered beams, and a datestone from 1686 found in an adjacent farm building indicate that the house has been remodeled.
