Description
Stansfield Farmhouse is a farmhouse that may date back to 1678, as indicated by a datestone. It is constructed of rubble with a stone slate roof and features two storeys with three bays. Each bay has double chamfered stone mullioned windows, consisting of three, five, and three lights on the ground floor, and three, four, and three lights on the upper floor. Between the first two bays, there is a small, more recent window and a chamfered doorway with a Tudor head. Above this doorway, the inscription "Built by SP 1678" is displayed in 18th-century lettering. The farmhouse has two chimneys, with the left gable chimney being external but obscured by a modern link to the stable.
