Description

The Fisherman’s Cottage is a mid-19th century house located on the A682 near Nappa. It is constructed of coursed squared rubble with a slate roof. The house is two storeys high and originally three bays wide, with the central bay projecting forward to create a porch. The porch features a round-headed entrance with a board door, a rock-faced surround, and a fanlight above the door; a small circular recess sits above the fanlight, featuring four keystones. Sashed windows with glazing bars and rock-faced surrounds are present above the porch and on either side of it on both floors. Modern dormers have been added to the rear of the roof, which is hipped, with chimney stacks on the return walls.
