Description
The stable at Stansfield Farmhouse dates from 1798, as indicated by a datestone. It is a small structure built from rubble with a stone slate roof, featuring two storeys and two bays. There is a rebated doorway with a lintel that reads "Repaired by WR 1798." On the wall facing the farmhouse, there is a doorway with a chamfer and a basket head, inscribed with "E 16 S P 78," which may have originated from the house. The stable is now connected to the farmhouse by a modern link.
