Description

THORNTON LE MOOR MAIN STREET SE 38 NE (north side) 3/50 Gate piers with link walls to Brewery House GV II

Gate piers with link walls. Mid to late C19. Ashlar. 4 rusticated gate piers on chamfered plinths with entablatures and blocking courses. They are connected on each side by a low curved wall. Inner piers to either side have Greek key motif under entablature, and are capped by large ball finials.
