Description
This is a dovecote at Kexmoor Farm East, built in the early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed squared stone and ashlar, topped with a graduated slate roof. The dovecote has four storeys and is square in plan with one bay. It features quoins and a board door set in a plain stone surround. To the left, there is a stone stair leading up to the first floor, which has another board door. In the centre of the first floor, there is a louvred window within a plain stone surround. Above this, there is a similar opening that has been boarded up. At the top, there is a round-arched opening with a sill and plain stone surround, which contains a stone with three rows of pigeon holes. The structure is finished with a moulded stone eaves band and a pyramidal roof. Stores attached to the right are not included in the listing.
