Description

The Grange is a farmhouse dating from 1793. It is constructed of coursed squared stone with ashlar dressings and a graduated stone slate roof. The original part of the house is two storeys high and comprises two bays, with a lower, two-storey, single-bay extension to the left. The corners are emphasised by quoins. The central doorway has a plain stone surround, and above it is a tablet inscribed "Henry Robinson AD 1793". All windows have plain stone surrounds; those in the left-hand bay have 16-pane side-sliding sashes. To the right of the door, on the ground floor, is a 16-pane sash, above which is a four-pane sash. The roof has stone coping, and there are end stacks. The left-hand bay has 20th-century casement windows, stone coping, and a left-hand end stack.
