Description

The Old Smithy is a disused smithy that now serves as a storage space for the nearby quoits and social club. It dates from the late 18th century to the early 19th century and is constructed of rubble with a pantile roof. The building is single storey and has three internal bays, with quoins on the corners. On the left side, there is a shuttered window and leaved board doors. Brick stacks are located at the ends of the building. At the rear, there is a gabled projection in the roof towards the west end. Inside, there is a large hearth on the left and a smaller chimney diagonally positioned in the rear corner on the right.
