Description

The gate piers located approximately 500 metres to the southwest of Kirkby Fleetham Hall date from the mid to late 18th century. They are constructed of ashlar and are square in plan, standing at approximately 3 metres high. The piers feature a plinth and are plain, with small vermiculated tablets positioned below large impost blocks. The friezes include oval vermiculated tablets, plain square cornices, and domed caps.
