Description
Teal House and an attached cottage, dating from the late 18th century, with later 19th-century additions and alterations. The house is constructed of dressed sandy limestone, with a timber porch; it has a pantile roof and brick stacks. The main house presents a two-storey, three-window facade, alongside a two-storey, one-window cottage to the left.
The house has a four-panel door with a divided overlight, set beneath a gabled porch. It is flanked by 12-pane sash windows. Similar windows are positioned on either side of a taller, central 12-pane sash window on the first floor. All windows have painted stone sills, and flat arches over the openings. A coped gable and a small kneeler are visible on the right-hand side. The house has end stacks. The cottage features a half-glazed door to the right of a two-light casement window, both set under a continuous painted timber lintel. A 20th-century casement window is located on the first floor. The cottage has a coped gable, a kneeler and a stack at its left end. The property is listed for its group value.
