Description
Nos 24 to 27 on Westgate are a row of cottages dating from the early 19th century. They are two storeys high and built from coursed stone with a pantile roof. The row features four brick chimney stacks. Each cottage has three windows, with No 27 having sliding sash windows with glazing bars, while No 25 has a modern window that interrupts the eaves. The ground floor also has three similar windows with stone lintels, along with a modern three-light window at No 25. The group of buildings includes Nos 1 to 22, 23A and 23B, and Nos 24 to 29, as well as storage premises adjacent to Nos 28 and 29, and Nos 30 to 37, 37A, and 38 to 69, which collectively hold local interest. Additionally, Nos 1 to 4 form a group with the Wesleyan Day School.
