The Ship Public House dates from the early 19th century. It is a two-storey building with attics, situated on the east side of Haggersgate. The roof is of mansard pitch, covered in pantiles, and includes two modern dormers. The exterior is of repaired brick, with modern windows and a modern door featuring a rectangular fanlight. The building is rendered. The public house is part of a group of listed buildings along the east side of Haggersgate.
