Description
Numbers 1 and 2, including the premises occupied by Turner and Son, is a building that dates back to the 18th century and is located on Pier Lane. It is constructed of stone and has two storeys with a pantile roof. The Cragg elevation features one window with a moulded flush frame, a double-hung sash with glazing bars, and a 6-panel door alongside a plain modern door, both sheltered by a sloped hood supported by carved consoles, with a step up to the entrance.
The Haggersgate elevation is four storeys high. The ground floor is rendered, while the upper storey has one window with glazing bars. The second floor contains seven windows with sashes and glazing bars, although one window is blocked. On the first floor, there is one modern window and one small sash window with glazing bars. The ground floor includes a garage door on the left, and to the right, there is a 4-panel door with a blocked ornamental fanlight and an open pedimented hood.
