Description

The building is a coach house and stable, dating from the early 19th century, constructed for Reverend Francis Wrangham. It features a red brick front with a chalk gable wall on the right and brick quoins, topped by a pantile roof. The structure is 1½-storeys high, with the coach house on the left and an attached stable. The coach house has tall double doors, while the stable has a boarded door with a divided overlight, flanked by 16-pane sash windows. All openings are topped with segmental arches, and there is a stepped brick eaves course. The gable wall on the right has a curved corner with jettied brick quoins above, and there is a brick quoined pitching hole with a timber lintel. The left gable features a tumbled brick design. This building is included for its group value with Wrangham House.
