Description
Hensall House is a house dating from the late 18th century, with later additions and alterations. It is constructed of pinkish-brown brick in English garden wall bond, topped with a grey slate roof and ashlar coping. The building has an L-shaped plan and stands two storeys high with three bays. The central entrance features a six-panel door with an overlight, set beneath a segmental arch and a late 20th-century porch. There are four-pane sash windows throughout, with two on the ground floor under segmental arches and three on the first floor under elliptical arches. The house has a dentilled eaves cornice, ashlar coping and ridge, and end stacks. The gable end shows tumbled brickwork, while the rear range has openings under cambered and elliptical arches, along with a dentilled eaves band.
