Description

The pair of gate piers to Roall House, dating from around 1700, are constructed from magnesian limestone ashlar. Each pier is square in plan and stands approximately 2.5 meters high. They feature rusticated surfaces with remnants of engaged Doric pilasters on the front. The piers are topped with a full entablature that includes an architrave, frieze, and cornice. Nearby, there are remains of waisted urns with gadrooned tops.
