Description

This is a parish boundary stone located at Hellifield Bend Gate, dating from the early 19th century. It is made of painted slate and stands approximately 70 centimeters high. The stone has a segmental pointed upper surface and is inscribed with the words "Long Preston Hellifield," which are separated by a vertical scored line. The stone is partly within the Long Preston Parish.
