Description

Nos 7 and 8 in Market Place are mid-18th century buildings that stand three storeys tall. They are constructed of roughcast over brick, featuring rusticated stone quoins. The buildings have a moulded wooden eaves cornice and an old slate roof with three rendered stacks. There are four windows without glazing bars and a central door with six panels set in a plain stone frame. The buildings also have bands and a plinth, although modern shop fronts have been added. Nos 7 to 18 and the Kings Head Hotel form a group.
