Description
Prospect Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 18th century, with an early 19th-century wing on the right that is set back. It is constructed of reddish-brown local brick and features stepped and dentilled eaves, along with a stepped three-course band at the first floor. The roof is made of pantiles, with two courses of stone slates at the eaves, and includes stone coping and kneelers. There are chimneys located at the gable ends and on the ridge. The building has two storeys and two bays. The central entrance has a modern glazed door, while the windows consist of wide 16-pane sashes set in flush wood architraves with stone cills. The lower two-storey single-bay wing to the right is made of pinkish-brown brick and also has a pantile roof. This wing features a 16-pane sash window with a segmental arch on the first floor and a two-light sash window with glazing bars below, both with gauged brick arches.
