Description

No. 2 Market Square is an early 19th-century building that stands two storeys high. It is constructed from squared coursed watershot rubble and features a slate roof. The windows are similar to those of No. 1 Market Square, except on the Main Street side, where there is a plain stone surround. At the rounded corner facing Main Street, there is a doorcase with Doric pilasters and a double shopfront that matches the overall design. The door consists of two curved leaves, each with two panels, with the upper panels being glazed.
