Description
Mount Pleasant Farmhouse, Cottage and Attached Cart Shed is a building dated 1788, with 19th-century additions. It is constructed from coursed, squared rubble and features a graduated slate roof with stone copings, kneelers, and corniced end chimneys. The symmetrical, two-storey, three-bay front has a glazed central door in a chamfered surround, with a panel above that is initialled and dated T.C. & H.C., 1788. There are two three-light mullioned windows in stone surrounds on each floor, while the first floor has a central two-light window from the 20th century. A sash window without glazing bars is located on the first floor of the west wall.
At the west end, there is a late 19th-century cottage extension that is set back. This extension is also made of coursed, squared rubble with quoins and has a Welsh slate roof. It is two storeys high with two bays, featuring a 20th-century glazed door to the right and a single sash window on each floor, with the ground floor window being larger.
An early 19th-century wagon-shed is attached at the east end and is also set back. It has 20th-century brick infill with a part-glazed door where the wagon opening used to be, and it has a graduated slate roof. This structure is single storey.
