Description
The village pound, likely built in the late 18th century, is a rectangular enclosure featuring 5-foot high coursed, squared rubble walls topped with triangular coping stones. There is a 20th-century gate in the east wall. At the rear is a late 19th-century building that originally functioned as a school lavatory before being repurposed as a fire-engine house; it is now disused. This building is constructed of squared, snecked rubble with quoins and has a Welsh slate roof. It is a single-storey structure positioned at right angles to the road, with a door located in the end wall.
