Description

Fletcher House is a house built in 1837. It is constructed of coursed rubble with chamfered quoins and features a graduated slate roof with stone end chimneys. The building has two storeys and three symmetrical bays. Access is via two steps leading to a central panelled door topped by a traceried fanlight, all set within a Tuscan doorcase that includes rosettes on the frieze and a cornice. There are single flat-roofed bay windows on either side, each with sashes that have glazing bars and Tuscan columns at the corners. The first floor has three 16-paned sashes in stone surrounds, also with a cornice. Inside, the staircase and some decorative plasterwork have been preserved.
