Description

The Maychell Monument is a table tomb located approximately 27.5 metres south of the Priory Church in Lower Allithwaite, Cartmel. It was constructed in 1791 and is made of ashlar stone. The tomb features a slab with hollow chamfered edges and is supported by four short balusters. The monument commemorates James Maychell.
