Description

The threshing barn located to the west of Ormside Hall dates from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed, squared rubble with quoins and features a graduated slate roof. The side of the barn that faces the courtyard includes two wagon doors, one of which has its original segmental head, as well as a byre door and a loft door. The barn is connected to the house by a single-storey arcaded structure that has three segmental arches, supported by square piers with imposts, and is topped with a graduated stone-flagged roof. This building is included for its group value with Ormside Hall.
