Description
The threshing barn, located to the east of Spitals farmhouse, dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed of squared, snecked rubble with quoins and features a hipped roof covered in graduated slate. The barn has a large central wagon entrance with a segmental arch and a judas door with a shaped head. At the rear, there is a small opposed door that leads into a 20th-century milking parlour, which is not included in the listing. Inside, the barn has a flagged floor and a wooden loft floor at the north end, supported by queen-post roof trusses.
