Description
Barn Hey Farmhouse is a house dated 1704, with a porch that is likely from the 19th century. It is constructed of roughcast stone and has a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and features three bays. The windows are sashed with four panes. The entrance includes an ashlar gabled porch with a shaped lintel and a ball finial, leading to a half-glazed door. There are gable-end stacks with round shafts. At the rear, there is a large gabled wing with a gabled porch. The house has some pivoted casements and 20th-century small-paned casements, along with a small re-entrant extension from the 20th century. Inside, one room features fielded panelling on the sides and above the fireplace opening, with fluted flat pilasters flanking round-headed niches that have imposts and keys on either side of the fireplace.
