Description
The garden walls, end piers, railings, and gate at Farleton House are located approximately 10 meters east of the front of the house. They were likely built in the early 19th century and are made of dressed limestone and wrought iron. The square end piers feature plinths, cornices, and pyramidal caps. The low wall is about 10 meters long and topped with railings that are approximately 750 millimeters high. The railings and gate include a spiked bottom rail, arcading, and lattice work with decorative junctions above. There is also an intermediate rail with a band of interlaced decoration between it and an upper rail, which is topped with small balls at the junctions with the interlacing. This decorative work is particularly notable for the area.
