Description
Long Marton Hall is a house that was once used as a rectory, dating from the early 18th century with later alterations. The front is made of sandstone blocks with quoins and a first-floor sill band, while the ground floor on the right incorporates earlier coursed, squared rubble walling. It features a hipped roof covered with graduated slate and has corniced stone chimneys at the ends. The symmetrical two-storey front has a central part-glazed door with a semicircular fanlight, set within a pedimented Tuscan doorcase. On either side of the door, there is a tall sash window in a stone surround with a broken pediment, and above, there are four sashes in stone surrounds. To the left, there is a 1½ storey range that is set back, which includes a French window in a stone surround with a broken pediment.
