Description

Chapel Cottage is a house dating to the early 18th century, with a later 18th or early 19th century extension. It is constructed of whitewashed rubble walls with a graduated greenslate roof and stone chimney stacks. The main part of the house is two storeys and three bays, with a single-storey extension to the left, both under a common roof. The original section has casement and Yorkshire sash windows set within painted chamfered stone surrounds; the ground-floor window on the left is a narrow firewindow. The left extension features sash windows in 19th-century painted stone surrounds. There are two plank doors at the rear, each set within painted stone surrounds.
