Description
Higher Kellybray is a house dating from the early 18th century, with an extension added in the early 19th century. It is constructed of rubblestone, with the right side slate hung and a rag slate roof featuring gabled ends. A large rendered stone chimney stack is located on the right-hand gable end. The house has a single depth, two-room layout with a store. The front is asymmetrical with two windows. On the ground floor, there is a wide lean-to rubble stone porch on the left side of the main range, topped with a sloping slate roof. To the right, there is a 4-pane sash window. Above, there are two late 19th or early 20th century 4-pane sash windows with moulded frames. The left-hand gable end features a two-storey rubblestone extension that is partly used as a store. The ceiling beams have been replaced, and the interior has not been inspected.
