Description
Kithill Farm is a farmhouse that dates from the 17th century or early 18th century. It features rubblestone with slate hung on the first floor to the right, and large slates on the right side, all under a rag slate roof with gable ends. The building has a large projecting stone stack with set offs on the right-hand gable end and a 20th-century brick chimney shaft on the left-hand gable end. The farmhouse has a single depth plan and has been altered over time.
It stands two storeys high with an asymmetrical front that has two windows. On the ground floor, there are two 20th-century windows in their original openings. The left-hand window has a late 19th-century brick segmental arch above it. To the right of centre, there is a 19th-century rubblestone porch with a slate roof and a gable end. The porch contains a 6-pane casement window in the gable end and a partly glazed door in the left-hand wall. Above, there is a 20th-century window to the left and a wide late 19th-century 4-pane sash window to the right. The ceiling beams have been replaced. The interior has not been inspected.
