Description

Chimney at South Kithill Mine, built in the mid-19th century, is made of roughly coursed granite with a purple brick top. It has a circular section that tapers towards the top. This chimney is associated with earthworks, shafts, and the remains of other buildings, which are not included in this listing. It was part of the Kithill Consols mining complex, which operated until the late 19th century and focused primarily on tin extraction.
