Description
The dam and machinery house at Fisher Tarn Reservoir is a structure built in 1896, as indicated by the foundation stone on the machinery house. It is constructed from rough-dressed snecked stone blocks. The dam stands approximately 30 feet high and features a walkway along the top. The central overflow section has a battered design with three semicircular sluice-gate openings at the top, positioned between mock medieval turrets. The machinery house, located at the base of the overflow channel, has a square plan with stop-chamfered corners, Diocletian windows, and a pyramidal stone roof.
