Description

This is a farmhouse and cottage with attached farm buildings, likely dating from the 17th and 18th centuries, which have been altered over time. The structure features roughcast and exposed cobble or rubble walls, topped with slate roofs, forming an elongated L-shaped range. It is two storeys high with a window arrangement of 1:2 on the first floor, accompanied by an outbuilding to the right and a barn at the far right end.

The farmhouse has a boarded door set in a wooden porch, a 6/12-pane sash window on the left, and a small casement window on the right. There are two small casement windows on the first floor. The end stack on the left is shared with the attached cottage, which has a lower roof. The cottage includes a brick lean-to on the left of a part-glazed door and a 20-pane casement window, along with a small casement window with glazing bars on the first floor.

To the right of the farmhouse, the outbuilding features doorways on both floors, while the left return of the attached barn has a broad doorway and a taking-in door. The right return of the barn shows limestone quoins on the right, indicating a partial rebuild, while the quoins on the left suggest two phases of construction. The barn doors are set beneath a wooden lintel. At the rear of the farmhouse, there is a stair projection under a catslide roof, and slit vents are present on the left side of the outbuilding. The interior has not been fully inspected, but it is noted to have beamed ceilings, and the farmhouse is said to contain a spiral stone staircase.
