Description

Nos 58-62, known as Grosvenor House, is a house that has been converted into offices. It dates from the early 19th century and has seen later additions and alterations. The building features incised stucco on a plinth and moulded cast-iron gutters supported by dentils. Nos 58 and 60 have a graduated slate roof, while no 62 has a higher Welsh slate roof with a stone chimney at the west end. The structure is three storeys tall and was originally five bays wide, with a single-bay extension on the upper floors of no 62.

For nos 58 and 60, there are panelled double doors set within a central, pedimented Tuscan doorcase. To the right, there are two sash windows in corniced surrounds with splayed feet, and one sash window to the left. A semicircular-headed carriage arch leading to a rear passage is located on the far left, featuring a projecting keystone and impost blocks. Each upper floor has five sash windows, with the first-floor sashes set in surrounds with splayed feet that rest on a sill band. No 62 has a late 19th or early 20th-century shop front, with a single sash window on each upper floor; the first-floor window is in a surround with splayed feet, while the sill band of the second floor has been partially removed.
