Description

The remains of a cross, located approximately 60 meters south of the Priory Church in Lower Allithwaite, date from the early 15th century. The structure features a stone octagonal base consisting of two steps, with the lower step being chamfered and the upper step moulded. There is also part of the cross shaft, which is octagonal and has worn ornamentation on four sides. The top of the shaft includes sockets that may have been used for a sundial.
