Description

The former A'board Inn, located at 29 Boroughgate in Appleby-in-Westmorland, is a late 18th-century building constructed from red sandstone ashlar. It stands three storeys tall and features a central doorway flanked by two windows on each floor, although the original glazing bars have been removed. The gable coping has volute-shaped springers, and the left-hand return wall includes an ogee-headed window that faces the entrance to the White House.
