WHINFELL Barn to south-west of Topthorne Farmhouse (q.v.)

Barn. C18 with later additions. Stone rubble with slate roof. South end has lower level under, due to slope of ground. East elevation has later lean-to outshut with corrugated iron roof, windows, loading door and open-fronted shed to northern end. South gable end has 3 dripcourses; segmental-headed entrance and 2 upper openings. 2 entrances with flat arches to left and one entrance to right. West elevation has barn entrance with outshut to right. Interior not inspected but said to have C18 date to beam.
