Description
Angerton Farmhouse and barn is a derelict farmhouse, likely built in the 17th century, accompanied by a barn from the 19th century. The structures are made of stone rubble, with the farmhouse being roughcast and both having slate roofs. The west elevation of the farmhouse is two storeys high and consists of two bays, although two bays to the north have been demolished. The ground floor features window openings that are now boarded up; the second bay has chamfered reveals, a timber lintel, and a label mould, with two mullions missing. On the first floor, there are single-chamfered-mullioned windows with label moulds. The entrance is located to the north in a gabled porch. The farmhouse has a gable-end stack and a cross-axial stack, along with a gabled wing on the east elevation. The north elevation shows remains of fireplaces and door openings. The barn, situated to the south, projects to the west and includes a lean-to cow house. The south elevation of the barn has a pentice and enlarged openings, including a round-headed opening at the gable. Inside the farmhouse, there are chamfered beams and a winding stair.
