Description
Lowes Court is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the late 17th century to early 18th century and has seen later additions and alterations. The building features wet-dashed rubble on a plinth and has a pilaster at the north end. It is topped with a Welsh slate roof that has a rendered mid chimney. The cast-iron gutter is supported by brackets on either side of each window.
The structure is two storeys high and consists of three bays. To the left, there is a panelled door set in a stone surround. The large central shop window has glazing bars and is also framed in stone. To the right, there is a wagon arch with a moulded, elliptical head supported by columns. Above this arch, there are three fixed windows with glazing bars, each set in projecting stone surrounds.
