Description
No. 58 on Main Street is a bank building from the mid to late 19th century. It is constructed of rendered rubble with a string course between the floors and an eaves cornice. The roof is made of graduated slate, featuring stone copings and kneelers, along with corniced stone chimneys at each end. The building has two segment-headed dormers that contain casement windows. It stands two storeys high with two bays. The central entrance is framed by a doorcase, with a passage door in a stone surround to the left and a canted bay window to the right. On the first floor, there are two paired sash windows set in stone surrounds, with all ground and first-floor openings having cornices. This building is included for its group value.
