Description

Nos 4 and 5 Duke Street are two small, three-storey cottages built in the first half of the 19th century. They feature a roughcast exterior and a slate roof. Each cottage has round-arched doorways, one sash window on the ground floor, and two additional sash windows above, all set in plain stone frames with the glazing bars removed. These cottages are part of a group that includes the Co-operative Store, Whittle's Furniture Store, The Globe Hotel, and Nos 105 and 105A.
