Description

Roseacre Rozenhof House is a house divided into three parts, dating from the early 19th century. It is located on The Square, Allonby. The walls are roughcast, with angle pilasters and eaves modillions, set on a moulded plinth. The roof is graduated greenslate with lead hips, and the chimney stacks are painted with incised stucco markings. The house is primarily single-storey and two bays, with two-storey, single-bay wings to either side – the wing to the left is now Roseacre, and the wing to the right is No. 2 – all under a common roof. A top-glazed panelled door has an overlight, recessed within a tetrastyle Tuscan porch, and there are wood-framed bay windows. The wings have sash windows with glazing bars. Roseacre has a 20th-century door, both set within painted stone surrounds.
