Description

Greenwell Cottage is a house dated 1710 above the entrance, with alterations made in the mid 19th century. It features hammer-dressed red sandstone walls, which have likely been raised in height, and a Welsh slate roof with eaves modillions that probably replaced the original thatch. The building has two storeys and three bays. The main entrance has a plank door with a moulded architrave, a dated frieze, and a moulded cornice. Above the door is a weathered inscription panel that likely refers to the 19th-century alterations. The cottage also has sash windows with glazing bars and plain raised surrounds, along with a side entrance that features another plank door.
