Description
This carriage house and stable, located to the north-east of the Vicarage, was built in the mid-19th century, around the same time as the Vicarage itself. It is constructed from hammer-dressed red sandstone and features a slate roof with eaves modillions. The building is single storey and consists of three bays.
The large central entrance is round-arched and has plank doors, topped with a hood mould. To the left, there is a smaller entrance that is similar, along with louvred vent windows. On the right side, there is a flat-arched entrance with plank doors. The left end wall features a quatrefoil recess that includes a carved castle motif. This building is listed partly due to its group value with the nearby Vicarage and Church.
